About twenty miles southwest of Rochester, there is a Genesee Country Village and Museum. The best thing about this village is that it preserves the local architecture and other old traditions like carriage museums. The festival culture is also promoted in the city and many festivals in the spring and summer are organized. For example, on the fourth of July, in summers the village is lit with fireworks. The Rochester NY accent is a form of Inland Northern American English. This accent is very similar to Chicago or Detroit accent. As 55% of the population of Rochester comprise of blacks therefore, the accent of the native Rochesterians has been changed.
